The $100 Million Independent Special District COVID-19 Relief Fund application period has ended. The application was live October 1st with a final submission date of October 29th.  

Earlier this summer, CARPD Member Districts made their voices heard and helped ensure the CA Legislature included a specific COVID-19 relief allocation for special districts in the State Budget.  Applying for these relief funds was the next step! Each qualifying agency that applies will receive a prorated share.

Funding Timeline        

Funding is anticipated to be released by the State Controller’s Office to county-auditor controllers by December 9th, 2021, and released to eligible special districts within 30 days of that date.

Department of Finance/CSDA Webinar

On Monday, September 27, 2021 Department of Finance (DOF) staff held a webinar in coordination with our partners at California Special Districts Association (CSDA). Durning the webinar, presenters discussed the allocation process, provided a preview of the web portal, and answered questions.
